Before you go
- If the Causeway camera shows traffic backed onto the bridge, compare the Second Link before you commit — it is a longer drive but often moves when Woodlands does not.
- Singapore-registered cars need at least three-quarters of a tank of fuel to leave; fill up before you join the queue, not in it.

Is the Causeway jammed towards JB right now?+
Look at the Woodlands camera above: it faces along the Causeway towards Johor. Traffic stopped on the bridge usually means a slow clearance at the Malaysian checkpoint. The estimate beside it is LTA's driving time on the BKE up to Woodlands, not the time you will spend queuing.
When is the worst time to drive from Singapore to JB?+
Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, and the eve of public holidays and school holidays are consistently the heaviest periods into Johor. Late at night and weekday mid-mornings are usually lighter.
Should I use Woodlands or Tuas to get to JB?+
Woodlands is shorter and leads straight into JB city centre, so it is busier. Tuas suits the west of Johor — Iskandar Puteri, Gelang Patah — and is often quicker at peak times even for the city. Compare both cameras above before you choose.
